LSU football team is wary of Alabama running back Eddie Lacy

The game between No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama doesn't fall short on monikers describing its magnitude -- "The Clash of the Titans," "Armageddon," and "Game of the Century" have all been used. But for Alabama sophomore running back Eddie Lacy, the game means even more. It could simply be called, "homecoming."
Lacy starred at Dutchtown High School in Geismar, playing on the same team as LSU sophomore safety Eric Reid. In his final three seasons at Dutchtown, Lacy had 4,053 rushing yards and 62 touchdowns, despite playing in only seven games in his senior season because of injuries.

Daylight Savings Time 2011 Ends: Prepare To Turn Back The Clocks

November 6 is officially the greatest day of the year because as Daylight Saving Time ends, we actually gain an hour -- and who doesn't need more time?

Yes, the days are getting shorter and you're probably waking up in darkness (and making your commute in it as well) -- but we gain an hour of sleep on Saturday night as Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 and Standard Time begins.

If it feels like we've been setting the clocks back later in the year than we used to, it's because we are.
When the U.S. Energy Policy Act went into effect in 2007, extended DST began. This meant we started turning our clocks back the first Sunday in November, rather than the last Sunday in October. Come springtime we'll also set the clocks ahead on the second Sunday in March, instead of the first Sunday in April.

LSU Vs. Alabama Recap: How It Impacts Stanford And BCS Rankings

The No. 1 LSU Tigers won a gritty defensive battle Saturday evening, defeating the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide 9-6 in overtime in Tuscaloosa. Both teams had some opportunities to get some bigger scores, but both defenses absolutely locked down the opposition.

Alabama lost the toss in overtime and started on offense. A quick three and out with a five-yard penalty and a five-yard sack forced the Tide to attempt a 52-yard field goal. Cade Foster missed, setting up LSU for what would prove to be an easy score. The Tigers rushed for 3 yards followed by 15 yards to set up first and goal at the seven yard line. LSU centered the ball and attempted a 25-yard field goal on 3rd and goal. Drew Alleman's kick was true and LSU retained their number one ranking.
